1963 Radio Recording

CoolDudeClem posted both sides of a 1963 recording of 1510 WMEX-AM. They were a Top 40 station with strong 50k watt signal based in Boston, MA. But reputedly the tides in the Neponset River would wreck havoc with the station's directional pattern causing unexpected areas of poor coverage. The shore line always had good coverage but many suburbs, notably Framingham had poor reception. Pm cov erage went deep into Canada. The station bore the WMEX calls form 1943 to 1978. In November of 2014, the station reverted to its original call sign but not it's original format.
