Bandscan

Sometimes on the road I have the presence of mind to do a quick bandscan. Today was one of those days. There was an appalling amount of country music. A few of them were Froggy, possibly simulcasts and and several of them were repeaters of WILQ. There was also one rogue 6-hour smooth jazz block on WVLY. Sometimes radioland is just inexplicable. As is increasingly the case most of the AM band was just noise. It was notable that I could clearly receive NOAA weather radio on 1670. Not one of the local AM sticks came in at my location not even WKOK or WMLP. As is often the case I'm left with a few mystery stations...
