Sometimes Voice-O-Graph discs have truly spectacular contents. Most of them are singing children, un-played flubs, and harmonizing drunks. But some are rare historical little wonders. Almost all of them are de-laminating, water stained, dirty, cracked junk. It will require hours of editing, splicing, and filtering, and, normalizing. So for that small wonder much labor must be done. So at the outset I must ask myself if this one will be worth it. This time no.
The speaker gives no year, no names, and no locations. It is utterly devoid of specifics. It's just another WWII G.I. writing home to say that he's coming home, and he hopes, that it's soon.
