Radio Artifact #102

This is the actual printing block used to make the announcements for the formation of E.C. Kerby Ltd. music publishing company. I acquired it with a barrel of printing blocks and am at a loss of what to do with it. Somebody out there must be interested, but damned if I know who. E.C. Kerby is Elvira Colombo Kerby. She established the company in 1971 in Toronto. Her husband was Franco Colombo, also a music publisher. I know little of the company but she handled publishing on enough folk songs to print a 300 page song book. it's one of several. Without a doubt somthing in the massive catalog ended up on air.

She retired in 1989 and sold the company to Boosey & Hawkes who are now agents to the extant E.C. Kerby catalog. It's world distribution was assigned to Hal Leonard Publishing of, based in Wisconsin.
