Here's another BBC radio program you just have to see. It was a comedy program that ran from 1951 to 1960 on the BBC Home service. It was a big influence on Monty Python and you can tell. It has also been cited as an influence on the Firesign Theatre which stands to reason. They just don't make radio like this anymore.

And a Beatles influence, as well. George Martin was recording Peter Sellers a this time, and he was a big fan of The Goon Show, releasing an episode on the Parlophone label.
