The best part of record collecting is not finding a record you love, though that is nice. It's finding the story of an individual record that makes it unique out of the thousands that were pressed. the 78 is "I'd love to fall asleep and wake up in my mammy's arms" recorded by Harry Fox March 10th, 1920. The song is sappy and mediocre. But the the four labels added to this Columbia disc are written on with a fountain pen. They make the LP into a personal message. I can't read the name, but the rest of it says:
"With all due credit to Mr. Fox he should hear me sing this song."
